2023 Curb & Sidewalk Inspections

Starting July 1, 2023, Public Works will be working side by side with the Code Enforcement Department to begin inspection of all Borough properties that are in need of curb and sidewalk repairs. If you’d like to get a head start and see if you’ll need to make those repairs due to tripping hazards, cracking, or other damages, please contact the Public Works Manager, Jeff Eldon at or 610-664-2840 x105, to schedule a site visit.

Anything with a Plug Recycling Event June 10, 2023

Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough are proud to offer residents the opportunity to responsibility recycle obsolete electronics on Saturday June 10, 2023 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Lower Merion Public Works Complex 1300 N. Woodbine Ave.

This event is for Lower Merion and Narberth Residents Only. Electronics will be recycled by eForce Compliance, Philadelphia’s first Certified Responsible Recycler. We will accept all electronic devices with a plug, NO SMOKE DETECTORS or LARGER APPLIANCE will be accepted.

Council Approves Prohibited Open Burning Code Amendment 

At the May 18, 2023 meeting, Borough Council approved Ordinance 1055 – Outdoor Burning Regulations, amending Section 240-1.B of the Narberth Borough Code to make additional amendments to the adopted and incorporated 2018 International Fire Code. The additional amendments, additions, and insertions relate to recreational fires and portable outdoor fireplaces to further the management, care and control of the Borough and the maintenance of a safe and peaceful community for the Borough and its citizens.

Council Approves Resolution 2023-08 – Pride Month / Pride at the Park

At its meeting on May 18, 2023, Borough Council unanimously approved Resolution 2023-08 – Pride Month / Pride at the Park. Included in the resolution are statements that “recognize the ongoing struggles and continuing efforts necessary to ensure that the LGBTQ+ community can live and love equally and without bias, discrimination, fear, or government intervention”. It also affirms Borough Council’s recognition and support of the month of June as Pride Month in Narberth Borough, and encourages residents to attend the Pride at the Park event and associated activities on June 24, 2023.
