The April 21st Finance and Administration Committee Meeting has been CANCELED.

The next meeting of the Finance and Administration Committee is scheduled to take place on May 19th at 6pm.

The 31st annual NarbEarth Day – April 30, 2022

The 31st annual NarbEarth Day, a fun environmental fair for children and adults, will be held on Saturday, April 30, from noon to 4 p.m. in Narberth Park next to the Narberth Community Library brought to you by the Narberth Civic Association.

This free family event features exhibits and activities promoting environmental responsibility and sustainability, along with food and artisan goods from local vendors. Check out highlights of the 2013 edition at


Appointment Opportunities

Narberth Borough has two open vacancies, one for the Narberth Industrial Development Authority and another for the Police Pension Fund Trustees. If you are a resident of the Borough and are interested in any one of the following volunteer positions, please prepare a letter of interest and qualifications, indicating your desire to serve and any applicable experience you have. Please note, appointees will finish off the current terms, see below for additional information.

The deadline for the applications is May 16th and it will be on the following Council agenda for consideration.

  • Narberth Industrial Development Authority –2 appointments
    • Length of term = 2 & 4 years (finish off current term ending 2024 & 2026, complete term is 5 years)
    • The members of the Narberth Industrial Development Authority are charged with approving the use of the its tax-exempt bonding authority for projects that enhance employment, the economy and the general wealth of the Borough of Narberth and the greater metropolitan area of which it is a part.  We analyze requests for tax-exempt financing to make sure that the use of the funds benefits this broad public interest. The NIDA also considers and approves/disapproves of the use of the fees, which are paid to the NIDA in connection with the bond issuance. The Borough Council refers projects to the NIDA to be paid for with these fees.
  • Police Pension Fund Trustees- 1 appointment
    • Length of term = 1 year (finish off current term ending 2023, complete term is 3 years)
    • The three trustees may, with the approval of Council, appoint such persons or corporate fiduciaries as they deem necessary to manage, administer, maintain and invest the Police Pension Fund. The trust shall be managed and administered under an appropriate deed of trust to be prepared by the Borough Solicitor and approved by the Borough Council.

Narberth Run – Road Closure Info

The 27th Annual Narberth CF Run and Walk will be held on Saturday, April 9th at 8:00a.m.

All avenues, roads and streets throughout Narberth will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 7:30a.m. If you have to leave the Borough on Saturday morning, then please do so before 7:30a.m. Slowly approach police officers and volunteers posted at barricades along Montgomery Avenue in your vehicle and let them know that you are leaving, so that they can let you out onto Montgomery Avenue. Again, however, please do this before 7:30a.m.

The Borough will re-open no later than 9:30a.m., but Haverford Avenue between Conway Avenue and N. Wynnewood Avenue will remain closed until 11:00a.m.

Narberth’s 2022 Spring Cleanup Week!

Narberth’s 2022 Spring Cleanup Week will be held from June 6th through June 10th!

Please put out your items the night before your scheduled route for collection and review the list of restrictions below. Questions can be emailed to

Regular trash routes will remain the same during this week.

The following items will NOT be collected due to PA ACT 101 stipulations:

  • Building materials
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Electronic Waste
  • Lawn & garden waste
  • Appliances
  • Metals
  • Tires
  • Additional information on how to recycle these hazardous items can be found on the Montgomery County website here.

Please note: the next Household Hazardous Waste Event in this area is October 23, 2022 in Penn Valley, PA. It’s a free event but registration is required.
