Borough Building Roof Replacement

20161110_122020

With the approval of Borough Council, a major capital project is underway at 100 Conway Avenue. Our leaking roof has reached the end of its life and is being completely replaced with a new warranted roof that will last 25 years. The project was advertised for public bid and after receiving seven bids from qualified contractors, Council awarded the project to ProCom Roofing for a total of $178,475. The Borough Engineer has managed the project from the start and is on site to verify compliance with specifications and quality control.

Weather permitting, the replacement should take between 14-20 days. Work has already begun. In the meantime we may have to close entrances to the building for safety reasons as crews use a crane to remove debris and hoist materials. Conditions will change daily depending on activities so please pardon the inconvenience. In the meantime New Horizons Senior Center has relocated programs to the American Legion and Girl Scout buildings adjacent to the Borough library. Evening programs in Borough Hall are unaffected by the work.

We look forward to having a new roof and following up with interior renovations and repairs to our building in the future.
