Earned Income Tax

As previously announced and advertised, Borough Council has increased the Earned Income Tax from 0.5% to 0.75%, effective February 1, 2024.

You may have or will receive a letter from the Borough’s designated Earned Income Tax Collector, Berkheimer Associates. This is a legitimate letter and is not a scam. Berkheimer Associates is the designated collector for all municipalities in Montgomery County as authorized under Act 32. If any of the information on the letter is incorrect, if you are not a Narberth resident, or do not have earned income, please contact Berkheimer directly.

Borough Council originally enacted the tax in 2023 to fund property tax relief through the Homestead Exemption program and capital improvement projects. More detailed information about the EIT enactment is available on this page.
