INVITATION TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that Council will accept bids for the structural reinforcement of the Library roof per plans prepared by GCI, LLC, Structural Engineers.

This is a Single Prime (GC-type) Contract Project. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified check made payable to Narberth Borough in the amount of 10% of the total bid proposal.

For a hard copy, contact Alan Guzzardo, Assistant Borough Manager at 610.664.2840 in advance of pick up. A non-refundable fee of $75.00 is required for each hard copy, payable to Narberth Borough. 

IMPORTANT: All bidders must notify Nick Cirilli of their intent to bid, in order to be on the distribution list for all addenda. Sealed Bids are due by 2:00 P.M., January 18, 2024 on at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Borough Hall. No bids will be accepted after this date and time.

Anticipated contract award is February 1, 2024. Sealed bids shall be addressed to Narberth Borough and delivered to 100 Conway Avenue, Narberth, Pa.,19072

Hand-delivered sealed bids must be given to a Borough Employee and delivered during normal business hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday to Friday, except Holidays.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on January 3, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., at the Narberth Library, 80 Windsor Ave., Narberth, Pa, 19072.

Prevailing wage rates apply. PA. Act 127 (Public Works Employment Verification Act) requirements are applicable.

The selected bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Maintenance Bond, and Insurance Certs, including Worker’s Compensation Insurance.

Construction start date is expected by March 4, 2024. Narberth Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, parts thereof, and/or any or all bid alternates and, in general, to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the project’s best interest.
