2022 Snow Removal Tips & Updates

To further improve public works snow removal operations, we ask that all vehicles parked within a snow emergency route are promptly moved so borough trucks can safely and efficiently clear the roadways.  Additional parking is located at the borough municipal parking lot and the parking lot at 201 Sabine Ave.

In addition to relocating cars, we also ask that no obstructions be placed in the roadway.  This includes basketball nets.  If you need assistance relocating your basketball net for the winter season, please contact the Public Works Department (610-664-2840 x105).

Lastly, we ask that when digging cars out or clearing snow from sidewalks, that no snow be placed in the roadways.  This not only adds to the time it takes public works to create safe roadways but also requires additional road salt if the snow becomes packed. Please be reminded that all snow and ice shall be removed from sidewalks and public walkways within 24 hours from the end of snow and/or ice fall to ensure all pedestrians are safe whilst traveling throughout the Borough.

We thank you for your cooperation and wish you a warm and safe winter season!
