Earned Income Tax (EIT) Letter

As previously announced and advertised, Borough Council adopted a 0.5% Earned Income tax starting in 2023 to fund property tax relief (through a municipal homestead exemption) and capital improvements in the Borough.  More detailed information about the EIT reasoning can be found at this page.

In addition, meeting minutes and recordings of Borough Council and the Finance and Administration Committee can be found for their meetings in August, September, October, November, and December where the EIT was discussed.

You may have or will receive a letter from the Montgomery County Earned Income Tax Collector, Berkheimer.  This is a legitimate letter and is not a scam.  If any of the information on the letter is incorrect, if you are not a Narberth resident, or do not have earned income, please contact Berkheimer at wecare@palocaltax.com or call 610-599-3139, to let them know, or for questions and concerns.

If you have any additional questions or run into any problems working with Berkheimer, please contact the Assistant Borough Manager, Alan Guzzardo directly at aguzzardo@narberthpa.gov or 610-206-3344. Please note the Borough property tax collector, Regina Watson, is not involved in the collection of the Earned Income Tax.
